This piece came from my interest in working with watercolour—one of my favorite mediums—in a different way, focusing on textures within landscapes. My goal was to explore what watercolour could do beyond the usual techniques.

To suggest varied textures, I adjusted my approach throughout, using landscapes as both inspiration and a challenge for new effects. As I worked, I found myself moving away from figurative elements, leaning more toward abstraction. This shift was essential, opening up the landscape to feel less defined, more fluid, and open to interpretation.
